Vinci was founded by two MIT MBA dropouts, David Zhu and Max Wu, and a RISD graduate, Jessie Ning, in September 2014 with the goal to invent a more enjoyable and hassle-free music on-the-go listening experience.

The team now consists of 40 talented engineers and designers with training from companies such as Intel, Oracle, Microsoft, Baidu, and Huawei, and from universities such as MIT, Harvard, Duke, RISD, Parsons, and FIT.

Vinci is a standalone wireless music player companion that understands who the user is, what kinds of music the user enjoys, and how the user wants to control his or her device. It has a minimalistic industrial design, yet includes high quality specs, such as protein leather, and leading AI technology.

Vinci includes intelligent algorithms, a smart voice assistant, optical heart-rate sensors, GPS, proximity sensors, gyroscopes, accelerometers, an ergonomic control system, 32G of local storage, and motion sensors to recommend songs based on current status, location, tastes, and habits. With built-in proximity sensors, Vinci also automatically starts playing when the user puts on the headset and pauses playing when the user removes it.

Integrated with advanced machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms, Vinci is a futuristic, trendy, and intelligent assistant that offers two-way communication between the user and his or her music player. Users no longer need to search for songs, as Vinci can automatically play relevant and preferred songs.
